Update

Quick update: After a successful overnight brainstorming session we now have a beautiful structure, a core team of three people, the basics for proposals, press packs, donor/funder packs ready.

We are still looking at 12 Nov for the press launch.

Music4Change is the entertainment->development arm run under the umbrella of AfrodeviA (Artists for real observable development in Africa). Other initiatives involving, promoting and supporting Nigerian music include

• Anti-piracy initiatives, with PMAN
• mentoring programmes - getting the old guard involved, with Segun Arinze
• auditions for young musicians, with British Council
• tourism initiatives involving local music, with Tourist Board
• Music4Change
• International music initiatives, putting Lagos on the world music map with an Afrobeat reunion – network with Womad, Dakar and Festival in the Desert
